Hi, I’m Ronald! I’m a 26 year old web-entrepreneur currently living in Jakarta Indonesia. I love technology, playing with it, experiencing it, and also being part of it’s creation process. I recently got married to my wonderful wife and my number one supporter, Grace Liu in March of 2011! I work on creating web-startups in Indonesia. I previously founded Domikado, a mobile lifestyle directory and financial information for the Indonesian market. I’m also the co-founder of Tasterous, a location based dish finding app for the Indonesian Market available on BlackBerry, Android and iPhone. I do everything from project management planning,  UI/UX design, product design, reading up on new development tools and technology, and also scouting for new talent.

Background

I was born in Little Rock, AR but moved to Jakarta, Indonesia when I was about 6 months old and grew up there. I moved to Syracuse, New York in 2003 to get my Bachelors degree from Syracuse University School of Information Studies where I graduated in 2007. I continued in Syracuse to get my Masters degree and at the same time I discovered my passion for entrepreneurship when I co-founded my very first startup called Blog Colony. I put my masters degree on hold (and promised myself to complete it one day) to pursue my passion in web startups. I moved back to Jakarta, Indonesia in 2008 where I believe the web industry was just starting to bloom.

I love technology, and it has been my passion since I was a small kid. I had an Apple LC2 as my first computer and I have been using Apple as my primary computer ever since. I never did well academically, primarily because I only prefer to learn things that interest me, Tech! So I decided early on to make up for not doing well in school by learning on my own in programming. I love tinkering with new gadgets and exploring new ways to simplify people’s lives using technology.

I started this blog so I can spill out my thoughts and experiences through the different techologies I encounter. I want to use it as a platform to share reviews, thoughts, and such.
